Open Evening 2017
Many of you will have already given a great deal of consideration to the high school preference for your child. In order to assist in what is an important process, we would like to invite you and your child to our annual Open Evening in order for you to be able to find out more about our school.
St Thomas More Catholic High School is a high performing, oversubscribed, 11-16 school, which was once again, rated Good by Ofsted in 2016. Our most recent inspection by Shrewsbury Diocese rated us as an Outstanding Catholic school and our overall performance in 2016 was the best in Cheshire East.
This summer we celebrated as over 92% of our pupils achieved a pass in English and over 78% in Maths. 76% of all our pupils achieved 5 or more A*- C including English and Maths. Alongside this academic vigour, the pastoral care at St Thomas More ensures that our pupils grow into well-rounded, reflective, caring and thoughtful young people ready to take their place in society. St Thomas More is a happy and vibrant school that serves its community. Our academic tradition fosters a culture of enquiry and creativity. We value curiosity and thoughtfulness and are ambitious for our pupils to achieve success whatever their aspirations.
