Exam Information

This is a time of great challenge and change. This, as you know, has affected this year’s GCSE and National examinations. The current situation has meant that we have had to review our summer exam results day and how you can receive your results.

In order to keep everyone safe, access to the school site on Thursday 20th August 2020 to collect your results will be limited. Where possible, we urge you to receive your results via email. If you are unable to do this then you may collect them in person. Only one person may come on site. You must collect your results from the Science Block and then leave the site directly after collecting them.

To obtain your results via email, please send your candidate name and email address to 2020exams@st-thomasmore.cheshire.sch.uk by 9am, Wednesday 19th August 2020.

If you wish to collect your results in person then email your candidate name and indicate that you wish to collect your results in person to 2020exams@st-thomasmore.cheshire.sch.uk. This email must be received by 9am, Wednesday 19th August 2020. You may then collect your results between 11am
and 12noon on Thursday 20th August 2020 from the Science Block.

These are the only two possible methods of obtaining your results. If you simply turn up on the day you will not be able to enter the site and you will not be able to collect your results.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE CANCELLATION OF SUMMER EXAMS 2020

We understand you are all justifiably concerned and anxious about the announcement by the Government to close UK schools and that the May/June exams will be cancelled as a result.

We will be taking our guidance from the exam boards in the next few days who are working around the clock with the Department for Education, Ofqual and the other awarding bodies to understand the detail of this decision.  As such, we will continue to publish any information and advice we receive on this section of our website so that you are kept fully informed of the situation as it develops.

This is an unprecedented situation and we understand that it could cause uncertainty and worry for children, parents and carers alike but please bear with us. We will update you as soon as we have more information to share.

In the meantime we advise you to continue to make use of all the revision tools that are available to you.  Please see below for some useful links.
